1.1 How do I obtain a new download?

If you are a licensed user of NetCop System Shield and for any reason need to re-download your purchase please contact support. Please include your order number, name and email address you used for your purchase of NetCop.

1.2 How do I install or reinstall NetCop?

After you have placed your secure purchase you will be taken to a download link to receive the installation files for NetCop. Click the download button and you will then be prompted with a screen to download the installation setup. Click save and the transfer of files will begin. Once the download has completed you will be prompted to open the application. Click open and the setup will auto run. During installation you will be prompted several times to click "next". You must continue the installation by clicking next several times before the install completes. Be sure to read our license agreement during your installation. If you need to reinstall NetCop for any reason please follow the same procedures listed above.

1.3 How do I view the help file content?

NetCop is equipped with an advanced help file and tutorial to help you get started using the application very easily. To view the contents click the "?" button located at the top of your NetCop System Scanner. You will then see an option to view the readme content and help tutorial that was included with your purchase of NetCop System Shield.

1.4 Who do I contact for more help?

If you are having difficulty using NetCop System Shield and need further assistance please contact support. We strongly recommend you read the help file and tutorial included with your purchase before sending your support request. Many questions can simply be answered by viewing the help file and reading its content.

2.1 How do I run a complete system scan?

It is strongly recommended that a complete system scan be conducted immediately upon installation of NetCop. A complete system scan will ensure immediate detection and identification of any spyware application running on your computer. To initiate a system scan from the start menu click all program and located NetCop. Click NetCop System Scan and this will open the spyware scanner. Once the application is open you will see scan options located on the right of NetCop's graphical user interface. Make sure all options are checked with a checkmark. On the left side of NetCop's graphical user interface select the location to scan. Since this will be a full system scan click "My Computer" and it will not become highlighted. Once this is complete click the scan button on the lower portion of NetCop's user interface to begin a full system scan.

2.2 How do I know if System Shield is active?

We recommend leaving System Shield running at all times to keep your Pc free of pesky intruders and keyloggers from being installed on your system. To ensure System Shield is running look at your task bar and you should see the NetCop Shield displayed. If this is present that means the system shield is currently active. If for any reason the shield is grey in color this means that the application has been deactivated. To start System Shield again right click on the icon located on your task bar and click "Enable System Shield".

2.3 How do I update NetCop online?

As long as you have System Shield running you can rest assured you will be prompted with and update when it becomes available. You must first be sure to have an active internet connection to enable System Shield to check for updates. The System Shield will check for updates every 15 minutes and prompt you when one becomes available. If for any reason you would like to check manually right click on the System Shield icon located on your task bar and click "Check for updates". The program will then check for any recent updates and prompt you accordingly.

2.4 How do I scan specific folders for spyware?

If you suspect a spyware application is loaded on your Pc you can have NetCop scan certain locations of your hard drive. Most users choose to scan program files only however some spyware applications choose different paths during installation. To scan a specific folder open NetCop System Scan and choose the directory from the expandable list menu located at the left side of the NetCop application. Click the directory you want to scan and it will be highlighted. Once the directory is highlighted click the button scan to initiate a scan of that directory.

2.5 How do I disable System Shield?

It is strongly recommended that you keep System Shield running at all times. This will prevent any unauthorized attempts of loading spyware on your Pc. System Shield in active mode will stop any executable that is identified as spyware and prompt you for its removal. To disable System Shield right click on the icon located on your task bar and choose the option "Disable System Shield".

3.1 What should I do if NetCop detects spyware?

If NetCop detects a spyware application on your Pc there are several options you have in removing it. Once a program is identified NetCop list the spyware applications present on your Pc if any. You have the option to read detailed specifics about the program NetCop detects by double clicking it. By default the application will have a checkmark by it. When you are ready to remove the application keep the checkmark present and click the remove button. NetCop will remove all registry entries and completely terminate the application and file paths from your Pc.

3.2 What Spyware does NetCop detect?

NetCop currently detects a large number of commercial and free spyware applications. We currently employee 5 full time specialists that continue to add definitions to your detection routine around the clock.

3.3 How do I send a suspected application to NetCop?

If you locate a spyware program, keylogger or any other suspicious application that you find in question please contact support. We will investigate your submission immediately and add it to our detection routine if it is identified as a security threat.
